August 2, 2007 at 9:00 pm | In DECO, Rant | Leave a CommentI want my iPhone application to be fun, and to involve the use of the camera. Rob told us of a head-shot game where the person takes photos of the back of the heads and recieve points.
There’s this pimp game I’ve been thinking about (which I have already suggested to Rob and Kaz – and they seem to find it interesting); basically you go out and search for people (using GPS to find the ‘game stage’) to convert them to ’whores’. They would get a message and an image of them (taken by the camera) by bluetooth saying they’ve been ‘whored’. In order for them to remain ‘free’, they have to pay you back a sum (or flashy object) or by recruiting other people to take their place (or gang up on you). In the meantime, you can ‘blackmail’ them to pose for you or whatever(haha maybe not). You have the monuments and hall of fame connected together via the internet to show rankings: most whored, most money, etc.
Maybe this is a bit overrated [no pun intended], but I want to use some of the concepts from http://www.ottawacrime.org – a game which I’ve been playing for almost 5 years – bit sad – I know.. The game also involves gangs, drug dealing, robbing the bank, fighting other players/’monsters’ which could also be add-ons.
I could turn this into a cute pet (or human) add-on with searching for food and cookies to feed the it, but don’t you think this one is too.. boring (and immature)?

I’ve been wondering on what I can use for the iPhone application. I still haven’t fully checked out the specs, but with what was shown in the lectures, there seems to be alot of uses for the iPhone. I definitly want to use the existing features and capabilities, but also involve something new..
I’m just afraid that my application might end up being an overload like this:

August 2, 2007 at 1:30 am | In Classes | Leave a CommentArgh… I spent two whole nights trying to read the book on the reading list.. and only to discover that today, Rob’s lecture talked about the chapters in the book.. >< At least I won’t need to finish it haha
So.. Everyone in the tutorial is currently creating blogs, reading blogs, or brainstorming for the iPhone application.
I haven’t thought of anything at all, so I’m checking out Facebook Applications (around the gaming section).
